REPORT: Sex Offender Too Close To Batavia Bus Stop For Parent

Batavia Public School officials have moved one of its bus stops on the west side. The stop was located in front of the home of a convicted sex offender, according to the Aurora Beacon-News.

A Batavia bus stop will be relocated after a family's concern that a sex offender lives next to the stop.

The convicted sex offender lives on the 500 block of Carlisle Road. He is located near , but he is outside the required 500-foot perimeter offenders must maintain away from school property, according to an article in the Aurora Beacon-News.

The family, which has children that want to walk to school in the neighborhood, learned about the offender's residence and contacted . The offender's address was registered in May 2010, according to the article.
