POLICE: Woman Robbed At Gunpoint Off Route 31
The suspect fled southbound on the bike trail. Here's a description and more information.
A woman was robbed at gunpoint as she stepped out of her car Thursday outside a North Aurora apartment complex, police said.
The armed robbery occurred in the complex's parking lot on the 200 block of North Lincolnway (Route 31), according to a press release. North Aurora police officers were dispatched to the scene at 8:23 p.m. Thursday.
Upon arrival, officers learned that the 29-year-old woman was approached by the robbery suspect as she exited her car in the parking lot.

The suspect pointed a gun at the victim and demanded her money. She gave him $10 and he fled southbound on the bike trail.
Officers completed an area search with the assistance of a Naperville Police Department canine, and officers from the Aurora and Fox Valley Park District police departments, with negative results.

Suspect Description
The robbery suspect was described as:
- Black male
- About 5’8” to 5’10” tall
- 150 lbs.
- Athletic build
- Wore black hooded sweatshirt
- Black or dark blue pants
- Black & white shoes
- Gloves
The gun was described as a black “Glock” type semi-automatic gun with silver/gray in the rear.
Recurring Robberies
A similar but separate . A juvenile was approached by a man in a hooded sweatshirt with an open knife. The man took $20 and a skateboard from the child and escaped via footbridge.
