Police: Two Batavia Kohl's Thefts in Two Days

Here's some items from the Batavia Police blotter.

Police last month responded to two incidents in as many days at the Batavia Kohl's store. Here's what happened:

June 21

  • Arlenea J. Smith-Miller, 19, of 647 S. Kenilworth Pl, Aurora, was arrested for retail theft after leaving Kohl’s Department Store, 251 N. Randall Rd., with four items of women’s apparel valued at $132 without paying for it. She was released on a personal recognizance bond and is due to appear in court on July 12.

June 22

  • Tracy M. Kielich, 32, and Laura M. Kielich, 53, both of 752 George Ave., Aurora, were arrested for retail theft of display merchandise at Kohl’s Department Store, 251 N. Randall Rd. According to a police report, the two removed $982.97 worth of assorted clothing, jewelry and accessories from the store without paying for it.
