Police Make 3 Arrests for Thefts at Kohl's

The following information was supplied by the Batavia Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Here's a roundup of theft reports in Batavia from June 26 to July 1, 2013:

Arrests at Kohl's


  • Batavia police arrested Lesly Ayala, 46, of Batavia on charges of retail theft of display merchandise around 2:28 p.m. June 30 at Kohl’s 251 N. Randall Road, reports said.
  • Batavia police arrested Briana Moss, 19, of Aurora on charges of retail theft around 6:04 p.m. June 30 at Kohl’s, 251 N. Randall Road, according to reports. She posted bond and has a court date of Aug. 13.
  • Police arrested Kelsey Thwaites, 18, of Aurora on charges of theft under $500 at Kohl’s, 251 N. Randall Road, reports said.  She posted bond and has a court date of Aug. 13.

 

Wallet Taken at Sam's Club

Someone took a wallet that was left in a shopping cart at Sam’s Club, 501 N. Randall Road, according to a June 27 report. The value of the wallet and items in it was estimated at $75.

Cellphones Reported Missing

Two cell phones were taken from the 500 block of East Wilson Street sometime prior to 3:36 p.m. June 27, reports said.

Unlocked Bicycle Stolen

Unlocked bicycle taken from the 400 block of South Water Street, according to a report filed at 7:56 p.m. June 27. The bike was unlocked.
