Police Identify Man Found Dead Wednesday on Village's West Side

Oswego police have identified the body found Wednesday near Clubhouse Lane and Mill Road as Kurt A. Dedner, 36, of the 200 block of Clubhouse Lane, Oswego, according to a Oswego Police Department news release Thursday afternoon.

Dedner’s body was found in an area near a bike path next to the Pine Ridge townhome development at about 1 p.m. Wednesday. Dedner’s body was about 75 feet from his home, the release said.

An autopsy conducted Thursday by the Kendall County Coroner’s Office did not reveal trauma to the body, and foul play is not suspected, the release said.

Results of toxicology tests are expected in four to six weeks, according to Oswego Police Media Relations Officer Rob Sherwood.
