Police Find Doors Opened, Unsecured at 6 Batavia Businesses

Batavia police reports this week included the news that police found doors opened in the wee hours of the morning Sept. 27 and 28 at six Batavia businesses.

The reports don't say if anything was taken, only that the police found the doors open, secured the building or contacted the building owner.

Doors were found open at the following locations:

Chang Lee’s Tae Kwon Do, 50 N. Island Ave. The rear door was found unsecured. The interior was check and the door secured by police, according to a report filed at 4:51 a.m. Sept. 28.

Aliano's Ristorante90 N Island Ave. The side patio door was found open, according to a report filed at 4:01 a.m. Sept. 28. The interior was checked and police secured the door.

 

Smashburger, 842 N. Randall Road. An open door was reported at according to a report at 12:14 a.m. Sept. 27.

Challenge Properties, 335 N. River St. An open door was reported at 1:38 a.m. Sept. 27. The interior was checked but police were unable to secure the door, so they called the key holder.

 

The Campana Building, 901 N. Batavia Ave. An open door was reported at 1:58 a.m. Sept. 27. The interior was checked and multiple doors were found unsecured. Police left a crime prevention notice.

 

Ekstrom Electric, 106 N. Raddant Road. An open door was reported at 3:45 a.m. Sept. 27. The interior was checked and police secured the door. The keyholder was contacted.
