POLICE: Elgin Man Ran Into 7 Batavia Cemetery Headstones

A 26-year-old Elgin man faces multiple charges after ending up behind the wheel in a Batavia cemetery on Saturday.
Kevin A. Malone, 1660 Mark Ave., was arrested on May 21 after losing control of his vehicle, entering the West Batavia Cemetery and striking seven headstones.
Malone was charged with improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, operating an uninsured vehicle, driving without a valid driver’s license and reckless driving.

Malone was released on $200 bond and is due to appear in court on July 5. No further information was available on this incident.
