Police Charge Batavia Man With Residential Burglaries

The charges are the result of investigations from residential burglaries on April 8 and Oct. 17 at homes in the 400 block of Houston Street and the 0-99 block of North Jefferson Street.

Batavia police charged a 29-year-old Batavia man Friday in connection with residential burglaries in April and October.

Depree M. Sharp, of the 100 block of North Jefferson Street, is charged with two counts of residential burglary and two counts of theft. Residential burglary is a Class 1 felony; theft is a Class 4 felony.

The charges are the result of investigations from residential burglaries on April 8 and Oct. 17 at homes in the 400 block of Houston Street and the 0-99 block of North Jefferson Street.

"Batavia detectives are continuing this investigation and pursuing the possibility of additional victims of similar offenses," Deputy Chief Daniel Eul said in a Friday press release.
