Police Blotter: Batavia Resident's Identity Used to Open Target Account

Here's an item from the May 5 Batavia Police blotter.

Police are investigating a retail store account near the East coast that was apparently opened using a Batavia resident's information. 

A victim residing in the 400 block of Church St. reported to that an account at Target had been opened under his or her name in Virginia.

The offender used the victim’s name, address and social security number to open the account. This offender made charges of about $900 from the account.
