Police: Batavia Man Cited For DUI, Kindle Gets Stolen At BHS

The following arrest information was supplied by the Batavia Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Batavia police officers responded to the following incidents on Feb. 16. Here they are in reverse chronological order:

11:50 p.m.—DUI-Alcohol

A 25-year-old Batavia man is headed to court after an incident on the city's east side.

Todd J. Duncan Jr., of the 1100 block of Winnebago Trail, was cited for the following:

  • DUI: Alcohol
  • Disobeyed traffic control signal
  • Speeding

The incident occurred on the 100 block of South Prairie Street, according to a police report.

Duncan posted his drivers license and $100 bond. He was released with a court date of March 28.

9:07 p.m.—Traffic Arrest

A 27-year-old Chicago man is headed to court after an incident on the city's west side.

Shaun J. Tabor, of the 6200 block of South Merrimac Avenue, was cited for the following:

  • Improper use of registration
  • Operating a motor vehicle while registration was suspended for no insurance
  • Driving while license suspended

The incident occurred on the 1100 block of West Fabyan Parkway, according to a police report.

Tabor was released on personal recognizance, with a court date of March 13.

8:26 p.m.—Domestic Trouble

Two subjects were involved in a verbal dispute on the city's east side.

One person was advised to stay off the property or be arrested for trespassing. The incident occurred on the 500 block of South Van Buren Street, according to a police report.

The person was advised to have no contact with the victim.

7:58 p.m.—Retail Theft

A 40-year-old Aurora man is headed to court after an incident on the west side.

Juan Vega-Rodriguez, of the 200 block of Beach Street, is accused of taking six HDMI cables valued at $243.80. The incident occurred at a store on the 300 block of North Randall Road, according to a police report.

Vega-Rodriguez posted $150 bond. He was released with a court date of March 13.

7:13 p.m.—Sex Offender Registration

A subject came to the police station, 100 N. Island Ave., to update their employment status. No other information was available on this report.

5:38 p.m.—Warrant Service

A 35-year-old Batavia resident is headed to court after showing up on an outstanding warrant.

Batavia Police had a warrant for Jayme L. Goldman, of the 1000 block of Lorlyn Circle. The warrant was for failure to appear in court for driving on a suspended license, according to a police report.

Goldman posted $350 for a full cash bond and $75 for a failure to appear service fee.

Goldman was released with a court date of March 13.

4:41 p.m.—Traffic Arrest

A 21-year-old Aurora man is headed to court after an incident on the city's far east side.

Christian Correa, of the 100 block of South Fourth Street, was cited for speeding and no valid drivers license. The incident occurred at the intersection of Kirk Road and East Wilson Street, according to a police report.

Correa was released on personal recognizance, with a court date of March 13.

4:14 p.m.—Theft Under $500 (Desk Report)

A Kindle Touch of an unknown value was reported stolen at Batavia High School, 1201 Main Street.

The incident occurred on Jan. 17, according to a police report. The theft was entered into the LEADS system.

3:36 p.m.—Traffic Arrest

A 24-year old Aurora resident is headed to court after an incident on the east side.

Angel Rodriguez, of the 500 block of Gates Avenue, was cited for the following:

  • Speeding
  • Operating an insured vehicle
  • Driving while license suspended

The incident occurred on the 1300 block of Pierson Drive, according to a police report.

He was released on personal recognizance with a court date of March 13.

8:23 a.m.—Car Crash: Personal Injury

A driver from Batavia was cited for failure to yield while turning left on the north side.

The incident occurred at North Batavia Avenue and West Fabyan Parkway, according to a police report.

The driver was transported to Delnor Hospital.
