POLICE: Batavia Kohl's Shoplifter Tries to Hide Clothes in Purse

Here's an item from the April 23 Batavia Police blotter.

A 35-year-old Aurora woman is headed to court after trying smuggle clothes out of the , according to a police report.

Noemi I. Robles, of 651 Spruce St., was charged with shoplifting at Kohl's Department Store, 251 N. Randall Rd. Robles attempted to take two items of clothing valued at $43.50 by concealing them in her purse and leaving the store, according to police.

Robles was given a notice to appear in court on June 14.
