POLICE: Batavia Homes Suffer Criminal Damage, Theft Last Weekend
Here are some items from the May 7 and 8 Batavia Police blotter.
are currently investigating two separate incidents involving damage and missing items at local homes.
The incidents took place last weekend, according to police reports. They are not reported as being related at this time. Here are the incidents:
May 7

Residents in the 200 block of North Avenue just north of downtown reported criminal damage to their property.
Unknown offenders broke a double paned window on the lower floor of the home. They also punched a hole through the insulation in the walls. Damage was estimated at $1,500.

May 8
Unknown offenders broke into an unsecured vehicle in a driveway in the 600 block of South Forest Avenue on the east side sometime during the night of May 8.
The suspect or suspects removed $50 in cash, three to four gift cards valued at $40, a clipboard with an attached calculator and a Visa debit card.
