POLICE: Batavia Car Thieves Run Wild

Here's an item from the June Batavia Police blotter.

A series of automobile burglaries were reported throughout Batavia on June 3 and 4.

Unknown offenders entered unlocked vehicles across the city and removed various items, according to the .

Here are the incidents in table format below. Scroll down to see the entire table. The items were taken from separate vehicles, unless noted otherwise. Multiple incidents happened at different residences on the same block.

Items Taken Location of Burglary Tom Tom GPS System valued at $200  500 block of Webster Street Cobra Radar Detector and iPod, combined value of $300 00-99 block of South College Street on June 4 Cooler valued at $35 taken from porch; unlocked vehicle entered, nothing taken 00-99 block of South College Street $20 in change and $5 casino chip from vehicle; assorted beer and liquor removed from open garage, estimated loss of $300 00-99 block of South College Street Pioneer CD face plate and two packs of cigarettes, combined value of $150 500 block of Wilson Street on June 4 Vehicle entered, nothing taken; iPod stolen from another vehicle earlier in the week 500 block of Wilson Street on June 4
