The school resource officer and members of the high school staff investigated the incident and were able to recover the stolen items and identify the students who were responsible.

Once the investigation was complete, contact was made with the Kane County States Attorney’s Office and Burglary charges were authorized.  The two 16-year-old juveniles were booked, processed, and released in the custody of their parents. Both have been referred to Kane County Juvenile Court Services.  An arrest warrant was obtained for Carroll and arrangements were made to have him come to the police department on May 24, at which time he was booked, processed, and released on cash bond.  Carroll’s next court date is June 20 at 9 a.m. in Room 211 at the Kane County Judicial Center.
