Here's a round-up of recent and bizarre police report items from the area.

GENEVA

A mannequin might have felt a little draft after someone removed an article of clothing it had been modeling.

The perpetrator took a Michael Taylor black blouse off the mannequin, which was on display in the hallway outside the entrance to The Prettiest Star on Third Street, sometime between 2:45 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. Oct. 28, reports said. The Prettiest Star is located in the Berry House shops, 227 S. Third St., Suite 108.

Busted-Up Car? Works For Me

One man's trash really is another man's treasure, even if that trash doesn't belong to him. Sometime between 11:30 p.m. Oct. 23 and 7 a.m. Oct. 24, vehicle parts were stolen off an inoperable vehicle, police said. The report was made in the 100 block of Briar Street. Tires and rims were stolen off the vehicle, which was left in a parking lot.

BATAVIA

This Jar Will Get You In Trouble

An officer noted a strong odor of cannabis during a traffic stop at 8:40 p.m. Oct. 27 at South Randall Road and Main Street. The driver of the vehicle, Mirely Sanchez, 18, of the first block of Margaret Lane, Aurora, admitted to having cannabis in her vehicle. A subsequent search found a jar containing a leafy green substance and several items of drug paraphernalia.

Sanchez was taken into custody and processed at the Batavia Police Department, 100 N. Island Ave. Sanchez was charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of cannabis. She posted $150 bond and was released with a Nov. 13 court date.

You're Not Welcome Here

A 14-year-old boy returned to the property of a business on the 100 block of North Batavia Avenue after being told not to return. An officer located the boy at 3:21 p.m. Oct. 26 and issued him a trespass warning. His mother was contacted.

ST. CHARLES

An Offer You (Legally) Can't Refuse

Frank J. Pastorino III, 48, of the 100 block of South George Street, Barrington, was charged at 12:30 a.m. Oct. 27 at 1st and West Main streets with DUI, DUI with a blood-alcohol content greater than .08, and failure to obey a traffic control device. He declined a submit to a breath test, but was confronted by a Kane County assistant state’s attorney who obtained a warrant authorizing a blood test, after which police said Pastorino submitted to the breath test, which showed a blood-alcohol content of .157. He was released on his own recognizance pending a Nov. 28 court appearance.
