OMG PD: Drunken Damage, Leaping Law Breaker

Here's a round-up of recent, bizarre police report items from the area.

ST. CHARLES

Drunken Damage

Tyler J. Brown, 21, of the 0N600 block of Brandon Boulevard, Winfield, was cited at 2:13 a.m. Aug. 2 at 200 Cedar St. with disorderly conduct-public drunkenness. Police were called by a bar on the 200 block of Main Street for a report of a man who had pulled a “No Parking” sign out of the ground at a parking lot to the east of the establishment at 9 N. 2nd St. Police advised Brown that if the parking lot owner wanted to sign a complaint, he would have to return to the St. Charles Police Department, 211 N. Riverside Drive, for processing.

Leaping Law Breaker


Police said a man burglarized a second-floor apartment between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. Aug. 2 on the 1400 block of Fairway Drive in northwest Naperville.


The man, described as a black male wearing camouflage shorts and shirt, was seen jumping from the balcony of the apartment, according to a witness. Police said they believe the man lives in the area or frequently visits.

Police are offering a $1,000 reward to anyone with information leading to an arrest. Call 630-420-6006 if you know anything about the incident.

Five-Finger Discount at the Underpass

A weed trimmer was reported stolen at 2 p.m. July 17 after it was left unattended at the Route 53/I-355 Underpass, police said.


CLARENDON HILLS

Young Egger Gets Away


Someone at 12:52 a.m. Aug. 1 reported that a male egged the front door and lawn furniture on the 100 block of Tuttle Avenue. An officer was also flagged down by a man, who was in his car searching the area. A heavy set male juvenile was last seen running from Tuttle towards Oxford Avenue, according to police. The officer checked Prospect Park and found a red Diamondback mountain bike laying in the playground. The officer took the bike and did a separate bike found report. Police were unable to locate the juvenile. No damage was found on the person's property, according to a report.


GENEVA

Unwanted Birthday Present


Someone took a green ceramic planter from the front porch of a home on the 0-100 block of Brian Lane sometime between 5 p.m. July 26 and 1 a.m. July 27, reports said. The resident told police she left the residence to celebrate her birthday, and when she got home, the planter was gone. The ceramic planter and soil were valued at $100.


The Ol’ Switcheroo

Someone took a tan mountain bicycle from an apartment on the 0-100 block of Anderson Boulevard sometime between 2 p.m. July 23 and 2 p.m. July 24, reports said.  The bicycle has a value of about $600. The owner said he found a different bicycle on the grass near the front porch, and it is believed the offender might have taken the mountain bike and left behind a blue giant mountain bike.

BATAVIA

Gas Yes, Money No


Someone took 15 gallons of gasoline from Feece Oil Co. on the 1700 block of Hubbard Avenue at about 2:56 p.m. July 29, reports said. The gasoline was valued at $58.


WOODRIDGE

Thirsty Thief I

Someone made entry into a residence and removed a case of beer on the 1800 block of Fitzgerald. The incident occurred sometime between 7 p.m. July 1 and 4:30 p.m. July 6, according to police.

Thirsty Thief II

Someone at about 2:38 a.m. July 5 broke through the glass front door of a business and removed a six-pack of beer on the 3000 block of Hobson Road, according to police.
