Reynolds was driving a Dodge Caravan east on Route 30 before the crash occurred, according to an early investigation. For some reason the Caravan left the roadway on the south side of Route 30 and continued to travel southbound off the road.

Eventually the Caravan crossed the railroad tracks that run parallel to Route 30.  At some point the van flipped and Reynolds was ejected from the vehicle.

The vehicle then came to a rest along a tree line adjacent to the railroad tracks.

Response and Treatment

Reynolds was the only person in the Caravan. He was treated at the scene by Big Rock EMS and eventually airlifted to Good Samaritan by Superior Ambulance.

He was in the hospital's Intensive Care Unit on Wednesday afternoon, which was when the Sheriff's Office notified the media of the crash.

Sheriff's Office Spokesman Pat Gengler said Reynolds has only minor injuries.

Reynolds was not wearing his seat belt and it is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in this crash.

Further information was not immediately available on this incident.
