A victim told Batavia police he sold a trailer on Craig’s list to a subject named Jake. The victim forgot to remove his plates from the trailer, so he contacted Jake, who offered $100 if the victim would transfer ownership of them.
According to the report, the victim then received a letter from the Illinois Tollway for toll violations of $111.25 for five unpaid tolls from the plate.
