Happy Holidays: More Electronics Taken From a Batavia Home

'Tis the season for residential burglary, although the popularity of small electronic items seems to be year-round in Batavia.

In the latest report, a residential burglary occurred in the 200 block of Fayette Street sometime between 7:45 a.m. and 3 p.m. Dec. 2.

"The entry appears to have been made forcibly through the rear door of the house," Batavia Detective Sgt. Shawn Mazza said.

Small electronic items were targeted and stolen. This case remains an active investigation, so if you have information to share, please contact the  Batavia Police Department at 630-879-2500.    

Xbox Taken From Unlocked Apartment

 

A victim reported at 12:54 a.m. Dec. 7 that an unknown offender entered her unlocked apartment in the 1100 block of East Wilson Street and took an Xbox 360 Kinect valued at $400, and two controllers with a value of $50.
