Geneva Blotter: Underage Drinking, Drug Paraphernalia

Geneva police reports for the week prior to Dec. 24 include separate arrests of 20-year-old out-of-towners.
Underage Drinking
Geneva police arrested Cara Arwood, 20, of Winfield on charges of illegal possession of alcohol by a minor around 5:11 a.m. Dec. 19 at a private residence in the 700 block of May Street, reports said. According to a complaint in the 16th Circuit Court, Arwood knowingly consumed alcoholic liquor. She has a court date of Jan. 21 at the Kane County Branch Court, 530 S. Randall Road, St. Charles.

Geneva police arrested Gabriel Martinez, 20, of Aurora on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia around 11:38 p.m. Dec. 14 in the parking lot at 523 Crescent Place, reports said. According to a complaint filed in the 16th Circuit Court, Martinez possessed a pipe constructed of aluminum foil, commonly known as a “bowl,” an item of drug paraphernalia, with the intent to use that pipe in inhaling cannabis into his body. He has a court date of Jan 14 at the Kane County Branch Court, 530 S. Randall Road. He also received a warning notice for driving without lights, as required.
