Felony Charge Goes With DUI Arrest

The following information was supplied by the Batavia Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A 31-year-old Batavia man was charged with felony aggravated battery and a misdemeanor charge of resisting a police office after he was hit with driving-under-the-influence charges Friday, Oct. 25.

Batavia police arrested Dennis R. Herren of Batavia on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, disobeying a stop sign, failure to signal when required, driving in the wrong lane, disobeying a stop sign, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, felony aggravated battery and resisting a police officer, according to a report filed at 12:17 a.m. Oct. 25, at the Batavia Police Department, 100 N. Island Ave., reports said.

Herren was transported to Kane County Jail. Reports did not list his court date.
