False Name Leads to Obstructing Justice Charge
The following information was supplied by the Geneva Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
Geneva police arrested Desmond Commings, 24, of Montgomery on charges of driving with a suspended or revoked license and obstructing identification around 2:17 a.m. Nov. 10 in the 1400 block of South Randall Road, reports said.
According to the complaint in the 16th Circuit Court, Commings “knowingly furnished a false name to Officer Hann, a peace officer, after Officer Hann had lawfully detained the defendant.”
Commings has a court date of Dec. 17 at the Kane County Branch Court, 530 S. Randall Road, St. Charles.
