Elburn Man Charged After Bottle Thrown Off Balcony of Geneva Tavern

An Elburn man faces reckless conduct charges after allegedly tossing a bottle from a balcony into a crowd of people at Old Towne pub in Geneva.

Geneva police arrested Benjamin Humm, 26, of Elburn on charges of reckless conduct around 1:54 a.m. Aug. 11 at Old Towne Pub, 201 W. State St., reports said.

According to a complaint in the 16th Circuit Court, Humm threw a glass beer bottle out of the outdoor balcony onto the 0-99 block of North Second Street, where it shattered and where multiple bar patrons were standing.

Humm has a court date of Sept. 17 at the Kane County Branch Court, 530 S. Randall Road, St. Charles.
