A patient-care technician was accused of taking Hydrocodone from a patient's purse, according to police.

A 22-year-old Yorkville woman was caught with drugs at Delnor Hospital that weren't hers, according to police.

Geneva police arrested Julie Wood of Yorkville on charges of possession of a controlled substance at about 11:30 p.m. Sat., Jan. 21, at the hospital, 300 S. Randall Road, according to a police report.

Wood is a patient care technician at Delnor Hospital. Reports said she entered a patient’s room and stole 37 Hydrocodone pills that were located inside of the patient’s purse. When the patient returned to her room, she found Wood "looking through her bagged property," the report said.
