Batavia Blotter: Battery, Domestics, Neighborhood Trouble

The following information was supplied by the Batavia Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Conflicts are a part of everyday life, especially for the life of a Batavia police officer. Here's a roundup of reports from April 28 to May 5, 2013.

Neighborhood Trouble—Two subjects were involved around 12:19 a.m. May 5 in the 1000 block of First Street, reports said.

Neighborhood Trouble—Two subjects were involved in a dispute reported around 3:04 p.m. May 2. Both were advised to stay on their own property and cease contct with one another.

Disturbance—One subject was upset with the service he was receiving at Fresenius Medical, 2580 W. Fabyan Parkway around 9:57 a.m. May 1. He became loud and abusive toward staff, so police stood by until he left the facility.

Harassment—Someone sent unwanted phone and text messages to a complainant, according to a report field around 6:24 p.m. May 1. The messages were received in the 200 block of Aldrin Avenue.

Domestic Battery—A domestic battery took place around 4:41 p.m. May 4 in the 700 block of Blaine Street between the complainant and his wife. A verbal dispute ended with each party reporting being slapped or grabbed by the other. No complaints were signed and the two were separated for the night.

Domestic Trouble—Two subjects were involved in a domestic battery in the 700 block of Midway Driver around 12:56 a.m. May 1, reports said. The reporting officer was unable to determine the offender. Neither party is pursuing charges and they subjects were separated for the night.

Domestic Battery—Batavia police arrested Eric J. Temen, 29, of Batavia on charges on domestic battery bodily harm and domestic battery physical contact after an incident around 9:27 a.m. May 1, reports said. Temen was transported to Kane County Jail and was awaiting bond call at the time of the report.

Domestic Trouble—Two subjects were involved in a verbal dispute around 11:01 p.m. April 30 in the 700 blok of Lake Street, reports said.

Battery—Two subjects were involved in a battery around 7:10 p.m. May 5 in the 900 block of Park Street, reports said. No charges were pursued at the time of the report.
