Cash Taken From South Jefferson Street Home; $732 in Cash Taken From Wallet
Theft reports: In total, more than $1,200 in cash goes missing in three incidents reported to Batavia police.
Cash seemed to be flying out of wallets and homes in Batavia last week.
According to reports for the week prior to Jan. 6, $1,200 in cash was lifted in three reported burglaries and/or wallet thefts.

Residential Burglary on South Jefferson?
Someone broke into a home in the 200 block of South Jefferson Street and took $300 in cash from the home, according to a report at 5:35 p.m. Dec. 27. The report was classified as a residential burglary, but no further information was provided.

Wallet Found, $732 in Cash Taken
Someone found a wallet covered in snow in the parking lot of Wal-Mart, 801 N. Randall Road, and turned it into customer service, according to a report at 3:31 p.m. Jan. 4. According to the report, a theft of $732 in cash took place between 1 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. Jan. 4. Police checked the area with negative results.
$200 Taken From Home on South Harrison
Someone took a wallet containing $200 in cash, several IDs and a debit and credit card from a residence in the 300 block of South Harrison Street, according to a report filed at 1:58 p.m. Dec. 28.
