Cannabis Tales: Batavians Arrested For Possession

The following arrest information was supplied by the Batavia Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The following cannabis-related incidents were reported recently by :

June 23

  • Charles S. Heiser, 61, of 805 North Ave., was arrested at his home for possession of a firearm without a FOID (Firearm Owner's Identification Program) card, possession of firearm ammunition without a FOID card and unlawful possession of cannabis. Heiser was released on $150 bond and is due to appear in court on July 19.
  • Matthew J. Simon, 26, of 1115 Essex Ct., and James A. Vanden, 23, of 511 Carlisle Rd., Apt. 3, were arrested for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and unlawful possession of cannabis in the 700 block of North Batavia Avenue. They were released on a signature bond and are scheduled to appear in court on July 12.
