Cannabis Tales: Batavia Police Find Baggies, Drug Items at 2 Different Incidents

Both incidents happened on the east side. Here's what we know.

Cannabis made two appearances in the same day on Batavia Police reports.

The incidents occurred last Sunday, Nov. 13. Here's what happened:

4:52 p.m.—Suspicious Persons

Several subjects were seen looking in the window of a vacant east-side residence with a flashlight.

The subjects said there were looking at the home, located on the 700 block of Park Street, because one of them used to live there, according to a police report.

No attempt was made to enter the home.

Two small cannabis pipes and a small amount of cannabis were found in the vehicle, according to the report.

The responding officer retained the items and the subjects were released without charges.

10:14 p.m.—Disturbance

Three subjects were involved in an incident downtown east of the main downtown bridge.

One subject broke out a driver's window and cracked the windshield of a vehicle with a belt, according to a police report. The vehicle's owner was not located near the incident, which occurred on the 0-99 block of North River Street.

Three small plastic bags of cannabis were found on the ground by a vehicle. It's not known where the bags came from.

The contents were destroyed at the police department, according to the report.
