Broadview Man Held After Monday Home Invasion at Knifepoint in St. Charles
$75,000 bail set Monday for suspect police say forced his way into a St. Charles home and threatened a resident with a knife.
A Broadview man is being held on $75,000 bail after his arrested in a home invasion on Monday in which a resident was threatened with a knife.
Marquis Walker, 26, of the 2300 block of South 15th Avenue, Broadview, Ill., who was arrested after the incident that began at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2, 2013, according to a release from the St. Charles Police Department. Walker is charged with home invasion, a Class X felony. His bail was set Tuesday at $75,000.
According to police, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of South 17th Street after a man reportedly pushed his way into an apartment after the victim opened the door. Once Walker pushed past the victim, police said he started threatening the resident with a knife. Police said Walker was known to the residents of the apartment.

Walker then fled on foot, and police said no one was injured.
Police said Walker was arrested in a nearby apartment complex.

Walker was in court Tuesday morning, when a judge set bail. He remains in jail in lieu of posting bond.
