'Beware of House Guests' Is Moral to 2 Batavia Theft Reports

Also, $2,600 in iStuff taken at McDonald's.

Theft reports in Batavia for the week prior to Dec. 9 carry a few lessons, including "Beware of House Guests" and watch out for your iStuff. Here are the reports from the Batavia Police Department's "Daily Report Synopsis, Media/Public Version.”

Beware of House Guests, No. 1

The victim told police that the offender was a guest at her apartment in the 1300 block of E. Wilson Street. She is missing her cell phone valued at $250. The report was filed at 11:44 a.m. Dec. 8.

 
Beware of House Guests, No. 2

A person who lives in the 900 block of Park Street said the suspect offender spent the night, and when the victim woke up, the offender was gone and so was his iPad table. The loss was estimated at more than $500. The report was made at 9:10 a.m. Dec. 5.

Beware of Employees, Too

The complainant told police that an unknown offender took $1,900 in Wal-Mart gift cards at Techmer PM, 900 Douglas Road, according to a report filed at 4 p.m. Dec. 5. The complainant confronted an employee about the incident, and the employee then left for lunch and never returned. The complainant is working with Wal-Mart to see if the gift cards are used.

$2,600 in iStuff Stolen

Someone took two iPhones valued at $1,700 and an iPad Air valued at $900 sometime between 6 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. Dec. 3 at McDonald’s, 125 W. Wilson St. The report was filed at 10:15 a.m. Dec. 3.
