Batavian Among 4 Cited for 3 AM Underage Drinking in Downtown Geneva
The following information was supplied by the Geneva Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
Geneva police cited four young people for consumption of alcohol by a minor and a variety of driving offenses around 3:01 a.m. Aug. 4 in the 400 block of South Third Street, Geneva police reports said.
Police arrested or cited:
- Deniza Leon-Gavin, 20, of North Aurora on charges of operating a vehicle with suspended registration and operating an uninsured vehicle.
- Melanie Bachtell, 20, of Batavia on charges of illegal transportation of alcohol with a citation for consumption of alcohol by a minor.
- Nathaniel Wade, 19, of Aurora on charges of illegal transportation of alcohol with a citation for consumption of alcohol by a minor.
- Troy Buehler, 19, of Aurora for consumption of alcohol by a minor.
The citation for underage drinking carries a fine of $250 if paid by its due date. All the other offenses will be heard during a court date of Aug. 20 at the Kane County Branch Court, 530 S. Randall Road, St. Charles.
