Batavia Police: Thefts, Warrants Served and Disturbances

The following arrest information was supplied by the Batavia Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Batavia police officers responded to the following incidents on March 21. Here they are in chronological order:

4:22 a.m.—Hit-and-Run:Property Damage

Police responded to a call at 1200 N. Kirk Road, however the police report is incomplete.

7:27 a.m.—Theft to a Motor Vehicle

Batavia officers responded to a call that a vehicle in the 1300 block of South River Street had been broken in to.

According to the police report the perpetrators forced entry into the glove box and caused $50 worth of damage to the lock. Missing from the car was $30 in cash and a black backpack valued at $30 along with the contents, which include folders and educational materials valued at $75.

The incident occurred sometime between 3:45 p.m. March 20 and 7:10 a.m. March 21.

5:40 p.m.—Theft under $500

A satellite radio was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 500 block of South Prairie Street on March 21. The radio has a value of $50, according to a Batavia police report. Police reported no forced entry to the vehicle.

8:11 p.m.—Traffic Arrest

Batavia officers issued a warning to Bridgette Wilson, 22, of the 1300 block of Wilson Street, for driving without headlights. Wilson was also cited for driving without a valid drivers license and operating an uninsured vehicle. Wilson was released on her own recognizance. She has a court date of April 10.

8:35 p.m.—Warrant Served

Police served a warrant for Kristan A. Malone, 25, of the 4200 block of West 21st Place in Chicago for failure to appear on an alleged domestic battery incident. Malone was unable to post the $5,000 bond and was transported to the Kane County jail.

10:20 p.m.—Disturbance

Police responded to a report of a disturbance on the 100 block of Spring Street. The police report is incomplete.
