Cheese With That, Sir?

A man reported at 11:02 p.m. that someone put cheese on the windows of his vehicle on the 400 block of north College Street. No suspects were identified.

Paraphernalia and Possessions

Robert Gregory Byland, 18, of the 600 block of Ozier Drive in Batavia, was arrested at 8:53 p.m. in the 0-99 block of south Mill Street in Naperville, police said. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance. He was transported to the DuPage County Jail.

Claritin, Allegra Shopping Spree

An incident of retail theft occurred at 7:22 p.m. at a store on the 1900 block of West Fabyan Parkway.

A store employee said that a man loaded up a plastic bag with numerous bottles of Claritin and Allegra, and then left the store without purchasing the items. The exact amount of merchandise taken was unknown at the time of the report.

Wedding Band, Ring Theft

A woman reported that someone took her wedding band and ring, which have a total value of $12,000. The incident was reported at 4:44 p.m. and occurred on the 2300 block of Kane Lane.

The theft occurred sometime between April 12 and May 12, according to a police report.

Forgery

An incident of forgery occurred at 1:50 p.m. at a bank on the 1900 block of West Wilson Street. The full report was completed at a later date.

Traffic Arrest

A 22-year-old Chicago man is headed to court after an incident in downtown Batavia.

Christopher S. King, of the 3200 block of west Fulton in Chicago, was cited for driving while license suspended, according to a police report. The incident occurred at 12:42 p.m. on the 0-99 block of north Batavia Avenue.

King was released on his own recognizance with a court date of Aug. 14.

Dumping on the West Side

A woman reported at 10:06 a.m. that someone is leaving trash on her property, located on the 1400 block of Challenge Drive. No suspects were identified.

Underage Drinking Charge

A Batavia teen witness to a fight on the west side is headed to court with his own legal troubles after police said he was caught with alcohol.

Jaari J. Williams, 19, of the 600 block of Madison Street, was taken into custody at 2:41 a.m. and cited for illegal possession/consumption of alcohol, according to a police report.

Williams was a witness to a fight that broke out at , 1034 Lorlyn Circle. A person who was punched in the face by a male refused medical attention.

Williams was released on his own recognizance. He had a court date of July 17 on the alcohol citation.
