Mom Sends Child to Batavia Police Station After Verbal Spat

8:42 p.m.—Domestic Trouble

A male juvenile earned himself a trip to the police station after an incident with a parent on the city's east side.

The juvenile was reportedly being verbal with a mother, according to police. The incident occurred on the 1300 block of Chillem Drive.

The mother had the juvenile transported to the Batavia Police Department, 100 N. Island Ave.

An officer spoke to the juvenile and the juvenile was released back to the mother, according to a police report.

The two agreed to be civil with each other for the evening.

3:11 p.m.—Theft Under $500 (Desk Report)

A purse/wallet was taken from the Batavia Jewel, 119 S. Randall Road.

The item was valued at $40. No further information was available.

4:16 p.m.—DUI/Alcohol

A 42-year-old Batavia woman is headed to court after an incident on the city's east side.

Amy Lynn Wolfin, of the 1600 block of Sauk Drive, was cited for the following:

  • DUI: Alcohol
  • DUI: BAC .08 or more
  • Following too closely in traffic
  • Illegal transportation of alcohol

The incident occurred at Hart Road and Pine Street, according to a police report. This incident also included a car crash with property damage.

Wolfin was released on personal recognizance. She has a court date of Feb. 15.

6:13 p.m.—Assist City Fire Department

An officer assisted the with an unknown incident on the 600 block of Blackhawk Drive on the city's west side.

Further information was not available.

8:02 p.m.—Theft Under $500

Two males removed an unknown amount of large used batteries from the Batavia Walmart, 801 N. Randall Road.

The batteries were removed from the Tire/Lube recycle storage area, according to a police report.

10:26 p.m.—Hit-and-Run: Property Damage

An unknown driver did a hit-and-run at Kirk Road and Pine Street.

No further information was available on this incident.
