Batavia Police: Landlord-Tenant Dispute, Criminal Damage, Lost Property

Here's what our local officers responded to on Friday, Sept. 23.

Remember the person who at the Batavia Wendy's earlier this month?

Now there's another lost fanny pack, according to Batavia Police.

Officers reported the following incidents in town on Sept. 23. Here they are in chronological order:

7:16 a.m.—Lost Property

A victim reported the loss of his fanny pack on the 400 block of South River Street. The pack contained:

  • IDs
  • credit cards
  • $9 in U.S. currency

9:34 a.m.—Found Property

A Batavia Jewel employee found an Olympia suitcase in the parking lot of the store, 119 S. Randall Rd.

A second case was found inside with 12 alarm tags included.

The items were placed into evidence.

9:50 a.m.—Landlord-Tenant Dispute

An officer responded to an argument between an owner and some tenants on the 300 block of Mill Street.

The tenants were evicted due to non-payment of rent and took items belonging to the landlord when they moved, according to a police report.

The subjects were contacted and advised to return the items, which they advised they would do.

Police did not disclose the specific items.

1:12 p.m.—Vehicle Taken Without Consent

A victim who resides in the 300 block of Spring Street reported that her boyfriend took her car in the morning without her consent.

The offender had left a message stating he would return the vehicle.

The victim also reported that the offender had two of her bank credit cards in his possession.

The subject was advised to contact the appropriate banks.

10:32 p.m.—Criminal Damage to Property

Property damage was reported in the 900 block of Lorlyn Circle.

The victim's vehicle had all four tires punctured by an unknown subject.

The damage estimate was unknown at the time of the report.
