Update: Missing Batavia Dog Suffers Fatal Hit on Route 25

Alli, a black poodle, was missing on the city's east side. A resident found her on the street after the injury. She had been with the Bouzides for four years.

A small dog that went missing on Batavia’s east side was fatally struck on Route 25, the owner said on Saturday.

“She didn’t make it,” said an upset Lilly Bouzide, the dog’s owner, to Batavia Patch.

Bouzide’s dog was named Alli. She was a 4-lb. black Teacup Poodle.

Teacup poodles are very small dogs, similar to toy poodles or tiny poodles. The term teacup is used because some of the dogs, when born, can fit in a teacup.

Alli had been reported missing earlier on Saturday. She was last seen near Maves Drive and Forest Avenue, according to . This is the area of homes located northeast of and .

A resident saw signs in the neighborhood about Alli missing and found her on Route 25. The resident placed her in a box out of harm’s way.

Alli could not be revived.

Alli had been with the Bouzide family for four years.
