Batavia Police: Criminal Damage, Domestic Battery, Theft

Here are some recent local police reports.

reported the following incidents on Sept. 9. Here they are in chronological order:

4:35 a.m.—Domestic Battery

 An officer responded to an incident of domestic battery between a victim and her boyfriend that occurred in the 0-99 block of Saratoga Drive.

The victim reported that a verbal dispute turned physical when the offender would not allow her to get out of a car.

The victim sustained bruises to her elbows, back and face. A complaint was signed.

Police were unable to locate the offender at the time of the report.

11:44 a.m.—Criminal Damage to Property

An officer responded to an incident of criminal damage that occurred in the 1100 block of Miller Court. 

The victim reported that an unknown offender or offenders scratched both sides of her vehicle. The estimated damage cost is $500.

12:24 p.m.—Theft

An officer responded to an incident of theft at the Honey Jam Cafe, 521 N. Randall Road. A victim reported the theft of her debit card.

A $40 purchase was made shortly after the theft by an unknown offender or offenders.

2:57 p.m.—Customer/Management Dispute

An officer responded to Shell Gas Station, 164 S. Randall Road. A complainant reported using his debit card to prepay for gas, but was unable to get any gas from the pump.

The complainant is going to follow up with his company to make sure the funds were returned to his account.

6:06 p.m.—Credit Card Fraud

A resident on the 1200 block of Averill Drive reported that an unknown offender or offenders were using her credit card in the amount of $114.

The credit card account was closed.

8:15 a.m.—Disturbance

A disturbance was reported on the 300 block of Douglas Road between a male subject and his girlfriend.

The male was threatening to move the female subject's belongings out of the residence. Request was made to keep the peace.
