Batavia Police: Cannabis, Keep the Peace, Juvenile Chase
The following arrest information was supplied by the Batavia Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Batavia police officers responded to the following incidents on Jan. 6. Here they are in chronological order:
6:13 a.m.—Possession of Cannabis/Warrant Service
A 21-year-old Montgomery man is headed to court after being caught
with cannabis.

Darone J. Mutts, of the 0-99 block of Saugatauk Road, met with an officer at the Batavia Police Department in downtown Batavia. Mutts was found to have cannabis in his possession, according to a police report.
Mutts was given a Notice To Appear for a court date of Feb. 21. He was also wanted on a warrant out of Kendall County.

Mutts was held and released to a Kendall County Sheriff's Deputy.
7:43 a.m.—Keep The Peace
An officer was asked to be at a business on the city's east side.
The officer stood by while management terminated an employee at a business on Douglas Road, according to a police report.
The subject left the area without incident.
10:59 a.m.—Criminal Damage to Property
A fire hydrant was found knocked over outside a business on the 1900 block of West Wilson Street.
A similar incident occurred at the location on Oct. 23, 2011, according to a police report.
11:08 a.m.—Credit Card Fraud
A complainant reports that an unknown offender unlawfully used his wife's debit card at a bank on the city's west side.
A total of $260 was withdrawn between Dec. 29 and Jan. 3 from a bank ATM on the 100 block of South Randall Road, according to a police report.
11:49 a.m.—Hit-and-Run: Property Damage
An unknown driver did a hit-and-run on the city's west side.
The incident occurred in the parking lot at 501 W. Fabyan Parkway, according to a police report.
2:48 p.m.—Disturbance
A female juvenile from Batavia reported being chased by three subjects on the west side.
The incident occurred at Wilson Street and North Van Nortwick Avenue, according to a police report. The offenders took her shoes and backpack.
4:51 p.m.—Car Crash: Property Damage
A Geneva driver was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
The incident occurred at Kirk and Douglas roads, according to a police report.
8:26 p.m.—Traffic Arrest
A 35-year-old St. Charles man is headed to court after an incident on the east side.
Benigno Tiro-Olivera, of the 1500 block of Indiana Street, was cited for speeding, driving while license suspended and no valid drivers license. This incident occurred at Washington Avenue and Fabyan Parkway, according to a police report.
Tiro-Olivera posted $150 bond and was released with a court date of Feb. 14.
10:35 p.m.—Car Crash: Personal Injury
A Batavia driver was cited for failure to yield while turning left. The incident occurred at Randall Road and Wilson Street, according to a police report.
Jan. 7
12:55 a.m.—Traffic Arrest
A 28-year-old Batavia man is headed to court after an incident on the city's east side.
Manuel J. Navarro-Romero, of the 1100 block of Lorlyn Circle, was cited for speeding and no valid drivers license. The incident occurred on the 1300 block of South Kirk Road, according to a police report.
Navarro-Romero posted $150 bond and was released with a court date of Feb. 21.
