Batavia Man Charged With Resisting Arrest in Geneva

The following information was supplied by the Geneva and Batavia police departments. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Men were charged for resisting arrest in separate incidents in Geneva and Batavia. Here's the roundup.


GENEVA

"Kicked," "Swung Elbows," "Shouted Profanities"

Geneva police arrested Jordan Ludwig, 25, of Batavia on charges of obstructing or resisting a police officer, disorderly conduct and was cited for public intoxication around 1:54 a.m. Oct. 5 in the 200 block of West State Street, reports said. According to the complaint in the 16th Circuit Court, Ludwig “swing his elbows, kicked and refused to place his hands behind his back to be handcuffed.” He also “shouted profanities and incited a physical altercation (with another person) in front of Old Towne Pub,” 201 W. State St. He has a court date of Nov. 19 at the Kane County Branch Court.



BATAVIA

Chicago Man Arrested for Fleeing, Eluding

Batavia police arrested Kendall Hooker, 25, of Chicago on charges of resisting a police officer, obstructing identification, fleeing and eluding a police officer, driving while license suspended, speeding and disobeying a traffic control device, according to a report filed at 9:39 p.m. Sept. 26 in the 300 block of Kirk Road. Hooker posted 4150 and has a court date of Nov. 12.
