Batavia Man Charged With Battery, Resisting Arrest

A 33-year-old Batavia man is facing charges afer hitting a victim over the head, then trying to allude police, Batavia police reports said.
Batavia police arrested Paul E. Thomas, 33, of Batavia on charges of battery and obstructing/resisting a police officer after an incident reported around 7:42 p.m. May 11 in the 500 block of East Wilson Street.
Police responded to reports of a victim being hit in the head by an offender. When they arrived, Thomas attempted to leave the scene. He was caught, posted $150 bond and was released with a court date of June 18.
