Batavia Blotter: Spray-Painted Stop Sign and Criminal Trespass

The following information was supplied by the Batavia Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Here's a roundup of criminal trespass and property damage or defacement for the week of March 7 through March 14, collected from reports at the Batavia Police Department.

Criminal Defacement of Property—Someone spray painted a stop sign at Union and Water Street, according to a report dated March 13.

Criminal Trespass to Land—Batavia police arrested Robert H. Rivers-Teague, 23, of Markham, IL, for criminal trespass to property at 1179 E. Wilson. An Internet search shows that as the address as a store location. Rivers-Teague has a court date of April 9.

Criminal Damage to Property—Someone drove a vehicle over grass within a few days of March 13 in the 1000 block of Morton Street, reports said.
