Batavia Blotter: Police Pick Up 11 on Outstanding Warrants

The following information was supplied by the Batavia Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The Batavia Police Department has a number of cases in which police are assigned to issue warrants for arrest, either from previous Batavia incidents or for law-enforcement agencies outside Batavia.

Here is a list of warrant services performed by Batavia police over the past four weeks.

  • Batavia police arrested Peter Dalgaard, 56, a transient with an outstanding warrant from the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear in court. Dalgaard was arrested around 9:59 a.m. April 28.
  • Batavia police arrested Joseph Pec, 36, a transient who was wanted for charges of domestic battery by the Aurora Police Department. Pec was arrested at 12:21 p.m. April 28, reports said.
  • Police arrested Kathia Ruiz-Tagle, 28, of Geneva on two counts of unlawful possession of alcohol and failure to appear in court. The arrest was made around 2:50 p.m. April 24 in the 800 block of North Randall Road, reports said. Ruiz-Tagle post $500 bond plus the $75 service fee and has a court date of May 28.
  • Police arrested Lawrence Kucera, 44, of Batavia on an outstanding warrant for violation of an order of protection and driving while license suspended. The report was filed at 5:56 p.m. April 24 in the 400 block of Roberts Lane.
  • Police arrested Levar V. Leflrore, 26, of Lansing on an outstanding warrant from DeKalb County for failure to appear and driving on a suspended license. He was unable to post $250 blond plus the $75 service fee and was transported to the Kane County Jail.
  • Batavia police arrested Joan R. Delaney, 73, of Aururoa and transported her to DuPage County. The charge is not named.
  • Batavia police took into custody and served a Kane County warrant for failure to appear and driving under the influence to John Gorman, 68, of Batavia. Gorman posted $1,075 in bond and fees.
  • Batavia police arrested Stephen J. Wheeler, 28, of Batavia on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear and driving on a revoked license. He posted $350 plus $75 service fee and has a court date of May 7.
  • Batavia police arrested Mararito Salivar-Munoz, 30, of West Chicago on a DuPage warrant for failure to appear in court and driving while license suspended. Saldivar-Munoz posted $200 bond plus the $75 service fee and has a court date of May 9.
  • Batavia police arrested James J. Jorgensen, 34, of Batavia on a warrant for theft, of merchandise less than $300. He posted $500 cash bond and was served at the Kane County Jail around 5:43 p.m. April 11, reports said.
  • Batavia police arrested Ruth Anne David, 25, of Aurora on a Kendall County warrant for failure to appear, retail theft around 12:38 a.m. April 12, on South River Street, reports said. David was unable to post bond and was transported to Sugar Grove, where she was turned over to the Kendall County deputy.
