Batavia Blotter: Motor Vehicle Burglary Arrest; Message Found in Glovebox

The following information was supplied by the Batavia Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

At this time of the year, when vehicle burglaries always seem to heat up, it's good to see an arrest by Batavia police.

Burglary to Motor Vehicle Arrest—Batavia police arrested David M. Santo, 27, of North Aurora and Thomas Knight, 19, of Aurora on charges of burglary around 12:42 a.m. May 8, reports said. They were transported to the Kane County Jail.

Burglary to Motor Vehicle—Someone went through a glove box of a vehicle parked May 11 in the 500 block of Carriage Drive and left a message in the glove box. It was unknown at the time the report was filed whether anything had been taken.
