Batavia Blotter: Harassment and Domestic Disputes

The following information was supplied by the Batavia Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Harassment by phone and text, a confrontation with injuries at the XSport Fitness parking lot and a domestic battery warrant arrest are among the items found in the Batavia Police Department blotter.

Domestic Battery—Two subjects were involved in a verbal and physical  confrontation in the 500 block of Wind Energy Pass around 5:10 p.m April 6, reports said. No charges were filed and Illinois Domestic Violence Act paperwork was issued.

Domestic Battery—Three people were involved in a domestic dispute in the 400 block of Thorne Street sometime around 8:44 p.m. April 7, reports said. Two subjects denied any injury and no injuries were visible to the reporting officer.

Harassment—Batavia police arrested Dustin W. Sronce, 21, of St. Charles on a complaint of harassment through electronic communications. Sronce posted $150 bond and has a court date of May 21.

Warrant Service/Domestic Battery—Batavia police transported Charles T. Hardney, 26, of Chicago form DuPage County Jail on April 10 after Hardney was picked up on a Batavia Police Department warrant for domestic battery bodily harm to a family member. He was unable to post 10 percent of the $10,000 cash bond, so he was transported to the Kane County Jail.

Domestic Battery—Police reported a domestic battery at XSport Fitness parking lot, 81 N. Randall Road, around 11:34 p.m. April 1. The incident occurred around 7 p.m. when two subjects became involved in a verbal and physical confrontation. Medics treated one subject at the scene but no charges were pursued.

Harassment—The victim told police that her ex-boyfriend has been making vulgar and harassing statements to her over the phone and via text messages. The incident occurred in the 200 block of N.Van Nartwick and was reported at 7:54 p.m April 5, reports said.

Domestic Dispute—A verbal domestic dispute was reported around 3:39 pm. April 4 in the 500 block of Main Street.

Domestic Dispute—Two subjects were involved in a verbal domestic dispute was reported around 10:28 pm. April 4 in the 1100 block of W. Wilson Street.
