Batavia Blotter: Consumption of Alcohol by Minors, Intoxicated Subjects

The following information was supplied by the Batavia Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Here's a roundup of alcohol-related items from the Batavia Police Department blotter from April 22 to April 29.

Consumption of Alcohol by Minors—Batavia police arrested Shaquille Smith, 20, of Batavia on charges of consumption of alcohol by a person under 21 years of age and resisting or obstructing a police officer around 6:52 p.m. April 28, in the 300 block of Jefferson Street, reports said. Also arrested on charges of unlawful consumption of alcohol were Ebony J. Stanford, 18, of Batavia and D’Quan A. Smith, 18, of Batavia. They each have a court date of May 14, reports said.

Intoxicated Subject—Batavia police reported an intoxicated subject “bothering others and urinating on the bike path,” reports said. The subject was located, he was intoxicated, and police made sure he was escorted home by a friend.

Intoxicated Subject—Police confronted a male subject who was reportedly yelling at passersby from his residence in the 600 block of North Prairie Street around 4:42 p.m. April 26. “The subject was confronted about his behaviors and advised it would not occur again,” reports said.

Intoxicated Subject—A “highly-intoxicated subject from Minnesota” was observed in the 100 block of South Water Street around 2:08 a.m. April 27, reports said. The subject was transported to Delnor Hospital by paramedics.

Intoxicated Subject—The offender was intoxicated, yelling and swearing at people walking by around 7:30 p.m. April 25 in the 600 block of North Prairie Street, reports said. The offender agreed to go inside for the remainder of the night.

Intoxicated Subject—Police transported an intoxicated subject around 7:58 p.m. April 24 from Pine Street and Pine Court to Delnor Hospital.
