The following is a roundup of miscellaneous police-blotter items from the Batavia Police Department files from Wednesday, Aug.28, to Tuesday, Sept. 3.
Batavia police arrested Christopher Carr, 26, of Aurora on charges of aggravated assault and criminal damage to property over $300, according to a report filed at 7:45 p.m. Sept. 2 in the 400 block of Church Street. He posted $150 and has a court date of Oct. 8. The details of the crime were not provided.
Police arrested Edward Arbet, 54, of 621 Prairie St., and transported him to Kane County Jail after an arrest for disorderly conduct in the 0-99 block of North River St., reports said.
The victim, who resides in the 300 block of Republic Road, reported that her ex-boyfriend had been texting, calling and stalking her. An officer contacted the offender by phone and directed him to have no further contact with the victim.
Unlawful Use of Credit Card
Batavia police arrested Dolores Gonzales, 34, of Batavia on charges of unlawful use of credit/debit card around 3:58 p.m. Aug. 30, reports said. She posted $350 bond and has a court date of Sept. 11.
Burglary to Motor Vehicle
Someone took a Skil saw power tool and tool box filled with miscellaneous tools with a total value of about $400 from a vehicle parked in the 300 block of South Jackson Street sometime between 10 p.m. Aug. 27 and 9:30 a.m. Aug. 28, reports said. There was no sign of forced entry to the vehicle, police said in a report filed at 9:38 a.m. Aug. 28.
