3 Adults Taken To Hospital After Rt. 31 Crash Thurs. Afternoon

Two cars were involved, each with front-end damage.

Three adults had to be transported Thursday afternoon from the scene of a two-car crash in Batavia Township, officials said.

The crash occurred on Route 31 north of Mooseheart Road, near the main entrance to Mooseheart Child City & School. The North Aurora Fire Department received a call about the crash at 2:45 p.m. Thursday.

At least three people involved were taken to Provena Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, said Adam Miller, a North Aurora Fire captain. The conditions and identities of those transported were not immediately available.

"I can tell you there was front-end damage to both vehicles," Miller said.  "I can’t say it was (a head-on collision) for sure."

Jancauskas said there were no other significant crashes in Batavia on Thursday. Cars were sliding, he said. North Aurora did not have any other serious incidents, Miller said.

The Batavia and North Aurora fire departments responded to the crash, along with the Kane County Sheriff's Department.  The provided traffic control.
