A Little Car-Burglary Spree in Batavia
Batavia Blotter: Six burglaries to motor vehicles were reported in Batavia, with hundreds of dollars of merchandise taken.
Batavia police saw a number of vehicle burglaries between May 20 and May 30.
- Someone took a men’s wallet valued at around $15 from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 900 block of Orchard Court sometime between 6 p.m. May 20 and 6 a.m. May 21, reports said.
- Someone took an Apple iPad, a vinyl case, CDs and a portable Sony DVD from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 1300 block of Goldenrod Drive sometime overnight prior to 7:29 a.m. May 21.
- Someone took a sunglass case, about $20 in loose change and a camera and camera case valued at $400 from an unlocked vehicle in the 100 block of Cardinal Court sometime prior to 9:25 a.m. May 21.
- Someone took an iPod classic valued at $400 and several CDs from a vehicle parked in the 1000 block of Cardinal Court sometime prior to 9:23 a.m. May 21.
- Someone rifled through paperwork but nothing was taken from a vehicle parked in the 900 block of Orchard Court sometime prior to 9:40 a.m. May 21, reports said.
- A vehicle was broken into in the 1200 block of Hillsboro Drive, according to an incomplete report filed around 5:34 a.m. May 21.
