23-Year-Old Cited for Taking Bottle of Beer, Sleeping Pills

The following is a roundup of retail-theft reports from the Geneva and Batavia police blotters collected Sept. 10, 2013.

1 Beer, 1 Dose of Sleeping Pills


Geneva police cited Bradley Turnquist, 23, of Geneva for retail theft under $50 for taking one bottle of beer an one dose of sleeping pills from Dominick’s, 2000 South Randall Road, Geneva, at 3:40 p.m. Sept. 6, reports said. The value of the items was $17.58. The citation carries a fine of $50 if paid by its due date.

Male Gets Away With Headphones

A male subject left the Target Store at 115 N. Randall Road without paying for two Beat Mixer Headphones valued at $249.99, according to a report filed at 2:40 p.m. Sept. 7. Charges will be filed if the subject is located, reports said.

Juvenile Released to Dad After Kohl's Incident

A juvenile was processed and released to his father after being police responded to a call of retail theft at Kohl’s, 251 N. Randall Road, according to a report filed at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 5.
