Let Batavia Patch Make Your Garage Sale a Success

Do you have a garage sale coming up soon? We here at Batavia Patch can help you publicize it.

It's easy and it's free. Here's how to do it:

Go to batavia.patch.com/events/new (If you're not one already, you will be prompted to become a registered user on Patch.)

Next, add your garage sale to our calendar of events.

Fill out the information in the form:

• Give your sale a name
• Fill out the date and time
• Provide the address
• Give a short description of what you're selling
• Under "Categories," check off the "Garage Sales" box

Do You Have Pictures of Your Sale Items? Perfect!

You can also upload photos of the cool things you're selling. If the sale goes for more than one day, click the box for "This event happens more than once" to add days and hours.

Then click on the "Post My Event" button on the bottom left of the screen, and you're done! Your event will be approved and published within 24 hours.

Want More Publicity?

If you get the info about your garage sale posted on our calendar by this Wednesday, May 23, we'll link to it in a story about the weekend's sales on our homepage on Friday, May 24 and Saturday, May 25. Also on those days, we'll help alert people to your sale in the free email newsletter that goes out to our registered users.
